E.T. knows your name, but what else will he know about you?

Universal recently filed a new patent for an AI-powered ride system that would create custom experiences for individual guests or parties, using a combination of guest data and RFID wearables. An attraction's lighting, audio triggers, projections or characters can be affected by passenger data. For the privacy conscious, guests will be able to control which data is shared with the park.

Several years ago, Walt Disney World experimented with using Magic Bands and guest data to display custom greetings on Its a Small World. A short message displayed on an LCD screen at the end of the ride, usually a happy birthday message. Soon, entire attraction experiences could change simply based on who you're sharing a ride vehicle with.

How many different versions of a ride could exist? What would the default state be? Will Imhotep finally call me babygirl? Only time will tell.
